Integrated Offender Management module Updated

Following on from the successes that our customers have with the Bluestar Corvus Integrated Offender Management (IOM) module, Bluestar now have further enhancements in the pipeline. Bluestar customers using the IOM module get a consistent and global approach to assessing the impact of each individual.  This allows the organisations limited resources to be directed on key nominals, allowing those resources to have the biggest possible impact on reducing crime and re-offending.  The success of the IOM system in conjunction with dedicated offender management teams has been noted not only by the dramatically reduced crime figures, but also by the industry press with articles appearing in the likes of Police Oracle and Police Professional.

The new enhancements we are developing to the IOM module are numerous, here is just a sample of the new things to look out for:

  • New risk categories and gradings have been added to further aid the process of identifying emerging threats and keep track of those nominals even after their re-offending has been reduced
  • The pathways out of offending has been extended to record and evaluate proposed plans in addition to keeping track of the path that is being progressed
  • The nominals are now split into even lower geographical categories allowing local offices to be more aware of the actions being taken by offender management teams on the nominals on their beat
  • We have made it clearer which nominals are in custody (or prison) and made it easier to exclude those nominals when planning a daily work schedule
