Merseyside Police Technology Exhibition
| October saw Bluestar attending an Information
Systems Technology Exhibition in Liverpool organised by Merseyside
Police. The purpose of the exhibition was to showcase, to
key members of Merseyside Police, new and emerging technologies.
The exhibition was attended by the Chief Constable, the Chief
Officers Group, area commanders, departmental heads and a
number of other officers and staff from all ranks.

Bluestar exhibited a number of new technologies and enhancements
to the Corvus infrastructure
including enhanced Corvus Mapping, Neighbourhood Performance
and Statistics, Resource Map, Corvus Indexer and Briefing
on BlackBerry.

West Midlands Police choose
Bluestar Briefing and Tasking system
West Midlands police have chosen Bluestar to supply
their new Briefing and Tasking System. Bluestar will provide their
Corvus product infrastructure
running a number of fully integrated applications and modules including
the Torc Briefing System
and the Endeavour Tasking
System. Bluestar will also provide their Single Enterprise
View (SEV) module and standard Corvus
Search functionality. The new system will revolutionise the
way the force deals with daily tasking and briefing, ensuring tasking
and briefing follows the National Intelligence Model (NIM) and is
more efficient and targeted.
The force has also chosen to implement the Bluestar
Prolific and other Priority
Offenders (PPO) application which as standard will be fully
integrated with other Corvus modules and application including Briefing,
Tasking and SEV.
Bluestar provide Management
Information and Statistics modules to West Yorkshire Police
Bluestar have provided West Yorkshire Police with
a number of custom Management Information and Statistics
modules to fulfill several Force and Home Office requirements. The
modules include charting, statistics and analysis as well as Home
Office reporting (including Crimsec reports). The reports are available
in a number of different formats including an on-screen view, comma
separated exports and automatic spreadsheet generation and export.

Police Expo 2006 Update

Thank you to everyone who took the time to
visit our stand at this years International Police Expo. The
show gave us an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our new
PPO system.
The portable DVD Player prize draw has now taken place and
the lucky winner this year is Mr P Harris from Derbyshire
Police.

Mobile Corvus on BlackBerry
Bluestar has delivered an enhanced
version of our BlackBerry implementation for Mobile
Corvus. This is now available within UK Police Forces
to support staff and officers on operational duty.
Using the BlackBerry offers secure wireless connection to
our Single Enterprise
View (SEV) providing powerful search capabilities and
access to valuable information held for core date, e.g. offenders,
locations and vehicles.
With BlackBerry, officers are in constant connection with
supporting operational details including crime history, stop
& search, outstanding warrants, court results and photographs.

International Police
Expo 2006
We are pleased to announce that we will be attending
this years International
Police Expo at the Birmingham NEC.
This year the exhibition runs from the 9th to
the 11th of May. We will be in Hall 8, stand D12. Please contact
