New Intelligence Features
Corvus has received a number of additional features including soundex and context search capabilities as well as the implementation of personal and system wide parameters.
Context allows customers to associate a keyword with other words or phrases. Parameters link searches to pre-defined values, e.g. MYBEAT.
Used with existing features, these enhancements allow Corvus to deliver specific information tailored to suit any requirement, for example, daily briefing.

ACPO 2002 & the Single Enterprise View
Bluestar has been busy finalising our plans for
the ACPO conference in May. As scheduled, we will be launching our
Corvus Crime Management System (CCMS) during the show. In addition,
we will also be revealing our vision for integrated access to ALL
data through a common interface. Bluestar have adopted the phrase
'Single Enterprise View' reflecting the capabilities of our latest
Corvus offering known as CSEV.
CSEV implements a top level search capability over all sources of
information for critical data elements, e.g. locations, individuals,
vehicles etc. CSEV can be used to link disparate systems together
and will combine with our local Corvus repository for truly exceptional
performance.
A variety of Corvus modules will be demonstrated at the show including
Command & Control, SOCO, Crime Reporting, Duty Roster etc. You
will also be able to see for yourself the power of our unique hardware
units during the show.
Just a reminder that you will find us on stand C51, Hall 8 for the duration of ACPO 2002 (13-16 May). Please drop in and remember to enter our free prize draw. This year we will be giving away a Palm P.D.A.
Our complimentary show tickets will be dispatched during the week
commencing 22nd April. If you would like to receive an invitation
and you're not an existing Bluestar customer, then please get in
touch.
Crime Reporting roll-out
Operationally, our Crime Reporting Corvus implementation
for Merseyside Police begins a production roll-out at the beginning
of May. Approximately, 5,600 users will have access to Crime data
via the Corvus browser interface, configured to suit the exact requirements.
The pilot for a single area has achieved an average response of
1.4 seconds for ALL ad-hoc searches.

this years International Police Conference and Exhibition (ACPO
2002) 13-16 May at the NEC.

Quite simply this is the most advanced solution available today.
In the run up to the show we are offering clients a unique chance
to become involved in adopting the CCMS technology. Bluestar will
offer a significant reduction in cost for 1 or 2 organisations interested
in participating. Please contact us for further information.

Bluestar is pleased to announce two new services for our customers to take advantage of:
Free Corvus Trial
We are now offering a completely free trial of
our Corvus environment. We simply take an extract of
your data and generate a default presentation for review. We'll
even provide the hardware and leave the configuration on site for
1 - 2 weeks to give you a chance to see the benefits of the Corvus
approach first hand!
Single Sign-On Capability
We're now able to manage secure access to all
browser resources and provide single sign-on capabilities through
the Corvus architecture. We believe our approach to be up to 50%
cheaper than any comparable product.
